First of all, I want to thank everyone who supported me for giving me such a wonderful chance. Through this program, I was helped and stimulated by many people.

The doctors in Thomas Jefferson University were very excellent and kind. The medical students there seemed to be confident and asked patients with a dignified attitude. I thought we should follow that point because I think many Japanese, including me, tend to be shy. The students from Chiba University were very smart. They had much more medical knowledge than me and expressed themselves in English really frequently. They were very friendly and we talked a lot of things. We had a very good time with them.

Though all people who met through this program were great, Dr. Majdan was the most admirable person for me. He showed and explained their wonderful clinical skills center to us for three days and allowed us to use many kinds of machines. I was absorbed in using them like a child and forgot time passed. It was a special and interesting time. And he gave us a lecture about electrocardiogram. Listening to the lecture about electrocardiogram in English was hard, but he talked slowly for us and explained very plainly, so I could understand what he said. He talked very slowly and plainly all the time for three days. He was gentle and humorous. We learned a lot of medical knowledge and spirit, having a good time with him.

And Jeffhope became an unforgettable experience for me. I have never known and seen such a program. I had a big impression to see those who have little money receive limited medical treatments. To know that was one thing, to see was another. I thought Jeffhope was a meaningful program for them. And it became a meaningful experience for me,too.

Through this program, I knew common points and difference between Japanese and the U.S. medical site. I think both have their strong and weak points. To make use of what I learned, I must and will continue to study medical knowledge and spirit as a doctor and brush up my English skill. If I had a chance like this again, I will eager to have that and won't spare every effort to get it. I had a really good experience.

Lastly, thank you very much again.
